Everyone did a great job today. We are only 2 weeks in and you guys are doing a remarkable job learning all of the new things that are being thrown at you, as well as thank you for rolling with the changes in today's schedule.
Sparta Schools and Community Theatre Member Spotlight:
We have a handful of new people joining us this year and I trust that everyone will make them feel welcome and a part of our group. To help people learn more about the new members I am going to highlight a different person/family each week.
Katie Koenes (Marie - Blue Cast)
My husband (Mark) and I live in Rockford with our 4-year-old cockapoo puppy prince (Echo). I know a couple of Sparta Community Theater veterans,
and they encouraged me to audition and get involved after they found out I used to be somewhat dramatic. I was in many of our high school productions
growing up in Indiana, and I was in a couple of community theater productions as well. The last show I did was back in 2008 when I played Darlene in
Honky Tonk Angels. My favorite role I’ve played is Marty in Grease when I was a freshman in high school. It’s been fun getting back into the theater
groove, so thanks for adding me to the family!
