Thank you for your patience this week as it was the week before Christmas and we know people's lives are busy this time of year. We appreciate everyone making their best effort to be at practice, as well as the changes to who needed to attend.
After Christmas we really will get into the swing of things. I will start to talk about posters, tickets, show sponsors and making everyone check their names in the mock-up programs. A little bit of information about show sponsors, if you own a company or the company you work for would like to be a show sponsor, please let me know and I can get you the details. Sponsorships start as low as $25 and they help us purchase costumes that we provide, sets, props, programs and posters.

Sparta Schools and Community Theatre Member Spotlight:
Melissa English (Ensemble & Ballroom Dancer - Blue Cast)
I grew up in Rockford, met my husband Mike in Grand Rapids, and now we are raising our three kids (June, Adrian, and Isaiah) on Mike's family's tree farm here in Sparta. As a kid/teen, I studied dance at the Academy of Dance Arts and Dance Dimensions and voice with Joyce Kash. During my years at RHS, I sang in choir and performed in five productions. Coincidentally, the first musical I performed in was Cinderella! I went on to get my B.A. at Aquinas College, where I was able to study music as a non-major through private instruction as well as singing with the college chorus and treble a cappella group. Today I sing at Holy Family Catholic Church here in Sparta, and little kids sometimes recognize me as "Miss Melissa" from my time as a children's librarian at the Krause Memorial Library, where I was able to share my love of storytelling and music in weekly storytime programming. I love musical theatre, and I'm so excited to get back into it now with my son, Isaiah! I auditioned for Cinderella in the hopes of growing my skill set, connecting with other people who value fine arts, and giving back to my community.

I'm 9 years old, I've lived my whole life in Sparta and I LOVE foxes!!!!!!!! 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊 I go to Appleview Elementary. I like sports, video games, Legos, more foxes, and camping. My mom is in this show. This is my first musical.

- Due to security of the school buildings the doors will automatically lock, usually 30 minutes after practice starts. If you or a parent needs to come into the building during practice after the doors lock,
